Love is in the Air ~ Valentine Mini’s

I am smitten with my Valentine backdrop this year!  It’s just too cute with the pretty blue sky and red heart balloons!   Sweet Miss Lilah came in the studio to model the set for you.  I have an adorable little red chair, heart shaped glasses for each kiddo to keep after their session and a cute “love” balloon that you don’t see pictured because it was a little big for this sweet girl to hold.

Valentine Mini’s will be January 25th and 26th.  Sessions are 10-15 minutes & have packages ranging from $30-$75.  I’m also offering sweet Valentines to hand out to your friends in class or mail to family.

Where have I been?!?!!?

Okay so here I am, hanging my head down in embarrassment that it has been one year AND four months since my last blog!!!!

Where on earth have I been you ask…

Well a not long after that last blog my son started middle school, my mamaw was diagnosed with dementia, and I went in to the busy fall season with a lot of extra life stressors so I kept thinking in the back of my mind I would get back to blogging another day.  I just needed to keep my head above water and keep my business running.  Well day turned into month and now into a YEAR +!!!  My son has come to love middle school, my mamaw is stable and my business is thriving!

I want to try my best to keep up with a blog in 2019 on hopefully a semi-regular basis.   I will bring to you some sessions I have shot since my last blog, stories of life with a teenager & pre-teen, and so on.

2019 for Amanda Greer Photography is going to bring some new changes, session themes, and some fun sales!  I am excited to take on 2019 and make this the best year for my family and my clients!

Winston is Turning ONE!

Last week was full of rainy cold weather but I managed to dodge the weather for a fun first birthday session with Winston.  His sweet momma chose a “Where the Wild Things Are” theme and it was perfectly done.  Rachale ordered him a Max Outfit for some photos, his dad built a raft, and then a different crown for his cake smash.  We chose an outdoor setting at the riverfront to match the theme and I think it was the perfect spot.

Winston and his brother Remington first came to me a few months ago for an Easter session and these boys are just so sweet with one another and are always all smiles for photos and this day was just like that.  Winston watching his brother run around and play and then Remi would run over to give him a quick hug or make a funny face behind my camera to get his little brother to chuckle.

Easter Mini Sessions

When I moved in to my new studio last month the first session I shot was a promo for my Easter set up with a long time client.  Since then I have met a lot of great new clients stopping by for my Easter Mini Promo.

This year for Easter I decided I wanted to go with something simple, classy, and spring like.  I was nervous about that decision because in the past I have had lots of props in the scenes and kind of thought that’s what people would expect.  The feedback I have received has been wonderful.  Everyone has made positive comments about it, loved the simplicity of it and the colors!

My Newest Adventure…

Happy Monday Everyone!

I know I have fallen off of the blogging earth the last month but I have a very exciting reason… I signed a lease on a studio space on March 1st!!!  Someday’s I still can’t believe it!!

The landlord contacted me in January to let me know that it was becoming available again in March and would I be interested.  My husband and I chatted about this space a year ago but I was too nervous to take the leap at the time.  But as encouraging as my sweet husband always is, this time he said “Amanda, if you do not try it, you will always wonder what if you had.”

The first few days were spent moving props and backdrops, putting together furniture, ordering signs and scheduling electricians.  I kicked off my first month here with lots of Easter mini’s, a few birthday sessions and a couple newborn sessions.

I have been much busier since moving here and for that I am so grateful!!  I have had established clients stop by and have met lots of new ones too.

My studio is located in a quaint little space on West Main Street in Ripley across from the courthouse.  I love seeing the hustle and bustle of our little town out my store window.

One day a few weeks ago there was the most beautiful light little snowfall happening so I went out to grab some photos of the studio with the snow falling.
