Would you like a FREE Session?

Hey  Ya’ll

With this downtime currently on my hands, I would love to find some new location options for sessions!

Think of places with tall grass or weeds lol, fields of wildflowers, deep green grassy areas, shallow creeks, & tall trees!

If you know of any places that fit those criteria please send me the directions and address to them.  If they are not owned by you, please also send the owners information to me.

If you send me a solid lead and I get that location locked for exclusive AGP use,  you will get a free session there as well as the owner of the location will receive a session.

Below are some examples of past sessions with similar locations I am interested in.

A Few Business Changes…

I hope everyone is staying warm and cozy in all this crazy cold weather.  With my Valentine Mini’s coming up this weekend I wanted to send out a blog about some changes you will see in my business this year.

I am so thankful for each and everyone one of you who have entrusted me to capture these memories for you since starting my business.  So many of you are repeat clients and many have to come to me through referrals.  I could not be where I am without you.

  1. Retainer Fees ~ This will be sent via email invoicing at the time of booking, they are non-refundable but applied to the package/s you purchase at your session.  I have tried to avoid this  but unfortunately, I have had several last minute cancelations and no shows this past year.  I am doing this to make sure the clients that want the sessions, are the ones booking and many times the ones who no show or cancel right before are the ones who I have worked in last minute or I am opening up the studio early or late for.  Some of my sessions like Santa & Family Mini’s are limited so this is only fair.
  2. Contracts ~ These will be put in to place to not only protect myself & my business but to protect you as my client.  I have avoided doing this, with the exception of weddings, because I truly felt like I didn’t need it.  All my clients were nice to work with, told me if they didn’t want images shared, never made copies of their prints, etc.  However in the last 4 months I have had some situations arise where after the session couples have split up and one doesn’t want the other one to have the images but yet the other one paid the sitting fee, or while scrolling social media I see large prints or Christmas cards made from copies of prints when the client did not purchase the digital images with printing rights.  Contracts will soon be delivered digitally but for a brief period it may be done in person until I can get my new office management software in place.

I hope you all can understand why I am having to implement these two policies.  98% of the photographers I know have done this forever but I put it off as long as I could but now is the time.  Please email me at agreerphotography@yahoo.com with any questions you have and subscribe to my blog to stay up to date on the life and happenings at AGP.

My Newest Adventure…

Happy Monday Everyone!

I know I have fallen off of the blogging earth the last month but I have a very exciting reason… I signed a lease on a studio space on March 1st!!!  Someday’s I still can’t believe it!!

The landlord contacted me in January to let me know that it was becoming available again in March and would I be interested.  My husband and I chatted about this space a year ago but I was too nervous to take the leap at the time.  But as encouraging as my sweet husband always is, this time he said “Amanda, if you do not try it, you will always wonder what if you had.”

The first few days were spent moving props and backdrops, putting together furniture, ordering signs and scheduling electricians.  I kicked off my first month here with lots of Easter mini’s, a few birthday sessions and a couple newborn sessions.

I have been much busier since moving here and for that I am so grateful!!  I have had established clients stop by and have met lots of new ones too.

My studio is located in a quaint little space on West Main Street in Ripley across from the courthouse.  I love seeing the hustle and bustle of our little town out my store window.

One day a few weeks ago there was the most beautiful light little snowfall happening so I went out to grab some photos of the studio with the snow falling.

Mr & Mrs Miller

My internet has given me fits this week.  I really wanted to post about these love birds on Valentines Day but technology just wasn’t having it.

Jason & Catherine were married in beautiful warmly lit ceremony last October in Eleanor.  Catherine was a very hands on bride & left no detail undone.  She made the centerpieces, the arch, dried the flowers, gathered up family quilts and oil lamps for the tables, made a cute barbecue sign for the food and Jason made the perfect cake stand.   The details were so  beautiful, warm and cozy.

Catherine was a bride after my heart!  She wanted a “first look” & she had an “unplugged wedding”!!!   I believe first looks are great for taking off pressure from the bride and groom on the wedding day.  It’s gives them a chance to be alone, well as alone as you can be with me snapping your reactions, and take in the moments about to happen and shed a few tears if you wish without being in front of your guests.  I think I could & I might, do a whole blog about unplugged weddings.  Bride and Grooms have put so much in to planning their special day that they want you to be in the moment with them!  Not on your phone trying to take photos.  That’s what they pay me for.   When they look back at their photos they want to see your faces watching them take this step in life, not your phone or iPad hiding it.

Catherine’s son gave her hand in marriage, and they said their vows while each of their children smiled with pride as the two families became one.

The guests dined on freshly made pulled pork barbecue from Jason’s business, Mountain Que.  It was de-lish ya’ll need to stop and try it sometime!

It was a great wedding day and I was so happy to capture it for them.  You can view all of their photos by clicking their name, Mr & Mrs Miller  & a few of my favorites are below.

Are you newly engaged?   Still searching for your wedding photographer?  I would love to chat with you!
